Hi friend! Thanks for stopping by the blog! I've answered a few questions here to help you get to know me a bit better before our session together,
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Coffee, lots of Coffee. Haha! Besides coffee, I’ve really learned to love my mornings. I usually get up around 5 am as it is the time my brain is the most alert. I love to listen to inspirational podcasts and map out what’s on “tap” for the day. Some days I will work out, but that definitely isn’t the motivator to get out of bed. I enjoy mediating and thinking of all the things I’m grateful for and the energy that comes with practicing gratitude. I’m fortunate to love my work and I’m always very excited to hear what clients have going on in their lives.
Do you have a personal mantra or motto?
I have many! My favorite is “Make your own Sunshine”. There will be days when it seems that the world and everyone in it acts as a rain cloud, but sometimes it takes us to be the sunshine and make the world a better place. It’s important our happiness comes from inside and not from others or in the “things” in our lives.
What are you currently working on?
I feel like I’m always working on a million things at once, but the one thing I’m really trying to work on as of late is practicing gratitude and taking a moment each day to listen to my breath.
Other projects I’m working on include getting back to making music and writing songs! I used to play my guitar and sing all over, but I lost my “mojo” so to speak over the last few years. I’m trying to dedicate time each week to playing and getting creative.
One of my passions as of late is Team Roping. I’ve been spending a lot of time on the heel-o-matic and working on my swing as well as with my horse. I’m excited to see where the journey takes us! It’s been very humbling to start from the bottom and be a beginner in a very competitive sport!
All time favorite project?
My all time favorite project is my house I bought a few years ago in Coal Creek Canyon, Colorado. When I moved in there wasn’t even running water! My father helped me completely gut and flip the cabin. I was very lucky as my father is very handy.
Why did you choose your profession?
I chose my profession because I saw others connect on a deeper with horses than with humans. It was amazing to watch a client who normally would not feel comfortable communicating needs or feelings open up when a horse was around. I knew on some level there had to be away to weave animals into a private practice. I spent years working in healthcare, and although I enjoyed what I did, I was not passionate about my work. One day I sat down and wrote down all of the things I was passionate about. At the top of the list was, “helping people” and “horses”. My profession started as a vision about six years ago and has slowly morphed into the practice I have today. It is continuing to grow and change. I’m so thankful that others find the healing and help that they need through horses.

If you were a baseball player, what would be your walk-on song?
Everyone who knows me is going to laugh when they read this….
Definitely Demi Lovato “Confident” :)))
What would you name the autobiography of your life?
Say “Yes” to the Surprise Button
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would it be?
Calamity Jane. Think I could learn me a thing or two from her!
If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?
This question makes me so happy to answer. A few years ago when I was trying to figure out how to make my dream a reality, I reached out to a woman named Jenny Key. She is an Equine-Assisted Psychotherapist in the Boulder, Colorado area. I remember looking at her website and thinking “I need to meet her”. It took me about a year to finally call her, but that phone call has changed my life. She is an excellent mentor in spirit, practice and business. I could not have chosen a better mentor to help me on my journey!
